A Sampling of Colorado Springs’ Housing Styles

Along with top destinations in Colorado, we wanted to talk about the homes in Colorado and the different housing styles that are common in different cities and during different areas of construction. You can find general information about housing styles and what these homes tend to be like for size, layout, durability, and visual appeal, but we also wanted to provide a more personal touch with location and neighborhood information as well.

Our Sampling Process

Along with general research about what’s common and popular for housing styles in Colorado, we scoured through former real estate listings looking for descriptions of properties that caught our eye, along with something of a representative sample for different areas and zip codes in the Colorado Springs area. Because these are former listings and we don’t want to invade anyone’s privacy, we’ve removed the exact address.

Like many cities in the state and around the country, home values have gone up quite a bit over the last decade. Real estate tips and property values isn’t really our point here, but it is a necessary component of buying a home. We’re not including these price estimates based on any sort of real-time real estate data, or anything like that. They’re meant as an extremely loose estimate, just to give people a sense of what kinds of homes are available in different price ranges.
